Training Plan for a 10km Race
Here we will present how to create two indicative training plans that are personalized to a certain extent. They are not completely personalized to the specifics of each athlete and the specifics of each competition.
Due to the popularity of the 10km event and to serve as many amateur runners as possible, the opportunity to choose one of two training plans is given, depending on each person's athletic level.
- The first is aimed at experienced amateur runners who aim for a time of approximately 32′ to 45′.
- The second is aimed at slower runners who are aiming for a time of over 45′.
The above is a guide for runners that cannot fully replace the instructions/directions of a coach, which are addressed to a specific athlete - runner and his preparation for specific races goals.
